How can I make this sound less biased in an atheist perspective?

Well, uming that both stories have basis in some ancient, actual event, I don't know why anyone is surprised that there are similarities. One tribe took their story west, and Gilgamesh was born, and the other took their story east, and Adam through Noah was the story. The Bible is less embelished than Gilgamesh, however.
