How can I help my friend? Please give me some advice.?

A friend of mine do not step down in ponds,rivers or ocean as he thinks it is quite possible he can be attacked by crocodile, shark ,water snake ,jelly fish or any poisonous fish or animal .How can I change his negative attitude.
