How are asteroids, meteors, meteorites, and comets all connected?

Asteroids are very large chunks of rock, meteors are smaller chunks of rock that burn up in the atmosphere. Sometimes they don't burn up completely. What's leftover is a meteorite. Comets are mostly ice. That's why when they get close to the sun, the solar wind blows out a tail of debris and gases.
